The innovative design of this concert hall makes it one of the best examples of Soviet modernism in Ukraine. The mosaic that runs along the front entrance of the building shows a female with a lira, a traditional Ukrainian instrument that can be traced back to the 10th century. The purple tiles depict the 1928 Derzhprom (Gosprom) building with a backdrop of yellow rays beaming from the sun.
